new york day 4

Today is day 4 but my better 1/2 has been too busy checking out this great City that he hasn't the time to update....ya ya, you know how it is to be on vacation... Well we've been doing most on foot or by subway (an incredible world in itself!) Went to WTC and took in all the new construction, totally stunds you to try and imagine the panic and fear these peole must still deal with.
I bought Mick and I an apple from street vendor so we had "an apple in the big apple." We loved Chelsa Market, Hogs 'n Heffers and Times Square...WOW, We both have sore necks from gawking. Went for Guinness just to recoup. Every pub has it on tap so I am loving it!
Yesterday was Coney Island, Mick had his feet in the ocean, it was such a warm day, people fishing, movie being filmed, boardwalk full of interesting characters and garbage cans every 10 feet. No wonder everything is so clean... Had a beer and sat beside a couple Sopranos... trying not to laugh too loud at them, but they were entertaining. We had a hotdog with all the fixin's, then were off to walk...Manhattan Bridge east and back on the Brooklyn. Something I always wanted to do! Checked out Canal Street shopping (won't go into detail, but so much fun). We ate supper in Chinatown and then took subway back up to 79th. Stopped in for a nightcap before taking our tired, tourist bodies back to our bed.
